Sokol Blosser of Oregon with Alison Sokol Blosser
When Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol Blosser planted their first vines in 1971, they needed all of their youthful self-confidence, energy and determination to make their way because there was no wine industry in Oregon. Today, with over 400 wineries and more than 19,000 acres of vineyards, Oregon wines are available throughout the world. Sokol Blosser has survived, grown and prospered as a family-owned and run operation, and they are proud to have been part of developing and shaping Oregon's now prominent wine industry.
We will be tasting five wines, including two Pinot Noirs and their famous white blend, Evolution.

VIP Wine Locker Party featuring wines of Spain
As a VIP Wine Locker Member, you are invited to exclusive events such as private tastings with wineries, sometimes even actual winemakers themselves and other times, just a laid back party with great wines from a great winery. That's exactly what we have in store for you on Wednesday, February 8th @ 7:00 pm.

Blind Tasting
Think you can tell the difference between certain varietals? How about wine regions? We have some stumpers for you! A fun test of your senses-we give you the tasting notes, and you try the wines-see if you can match the notes to the taste! Once finished, the wines will be revealed, and you can check to see how you did!

Clos du Val
Clos Du Val Winery, founded in 1972 has firmly established its label among the world's finest. President and winemaker Bernard Portet, raised in the Bordeaux region of France, creates wines that harmoniously marry French elegance with rich Napa Valley fruit. Following the Chateau concept that world class wines are produced from the finest grapes, Clos Du Val has 130 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel in the Stags Leap District and 140 acres of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the cooler Carneros region of Napa Valley.

Wines of Sonoma
Twice as large as Napa in size, Sonoma County only makes about a half the amount of wine as her northeasterly neighbor. But Sonoma, with her size, is able to vouch for more diversity within her borders, including sub-AVAs that are climatically varied. The atmosphere of Sonoma is decidedly laid back and down home country style. But in wines, they are keeping up with the Joneses, or Napa-ites if you will. Grape varieties are more varied here, from Pinot Noir and Zinfandel to Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Other grapes found throughout Sonoma include Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot & Syrah.

Wines of Augustin Huneeus (featuring Faust & Quintessa Meritage)
Agustin and wife Valeria founded the Quintessa estate in the renowned Rutherford District of Napa Valley in 1990 and after years of running global wine companies, established a family portfolio of wines that represent the finest vineyard estates, appellations and wines in both North and South America.
In addition to the Quintessa estate, Augustin's current vineyard and winery projects include Faust Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Illumination Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Veramonte winery in Chile's Casablanca and Colchagua Valley's, Neyen winery in Chile's Apalta Valley and Washington's Longshadows Vintners where he is a partner.
In 2009, the Huneeus family forged a partnership with Joan and Walt Flowers of Flowers Vineyards & Winery, pioneering vintners who in 1989, established two extraordinary vineyards dedicated to world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the extreme Sonoma Coast. In 2010, the Huneeus family partnered with winemaker Dave Phinney and Orin Swift Cellars to take ownership and direct sales and marketing of two edgy wines, The Prisoner, a Napa Valley red blend, and Saldo, a Zinfandel from some of California's most revered vineyards.

Orfila Vineyards of Escondido
Orfila Vineyards & Winery is an award-winning boutique winery nestled in the pristine San Pasqual Valley agricultural preserve, approximately 30 minutes north of San Diego, just 5 minutes off the I-15, on the way to the Wild Animal Park. Executive Winemaker Justin Mund and his team produce premium Rhône-style wines from grapes grown on the hillside estate.
